Why integrity is important in business Good evening,ladies and gentlemen,it’s my great honor to stand here and give you a short speech.To start with, I want to ask a question. Have you ever eaten fake goodsHave you ever experienced network fraud？Have you ever heard of false accountingI think most of you will say yes.Today,my speech is why integrity is significant in business.
In the "two sessions" period, the most popular topic is not financial issues but credit problems. "Good faith" almost become deputies and members most frequently used words.There is no doubt that China’s economy is becoming stronger and stronger.However,along with its development ,there is a potential huge problem is threatening its sustainable development.That is the integrity problem.
Horrifying dishonesty problems are just like an devil surrounding us. We fear that the bridge may collapse which we are driving on , we fear that the house may collapse which we live in .We fear that we may be deceived when we eat outside. Fake diplomas, false accounts, false contracts, the word "fake" seems to be pervasive. From the counterfeit market to secret operations on the stock market; from black whistle on football to academic corruption;from commercial fraud to individual local government and so on.Credit crisis, credit deficiency have become the sepsis.market economy.According to the National Bureau of Statistics, because of some enterprises dishonesty, it led to direct or indirect economic losses of 500 billion yuan last year, 500 billion yuan means whathow many laid-off workers can solve! How many school children can solve! How many samll enterprises can save.
China's economic development can not be separated from investment capital.The financing method isn’t essential but the good credit environment. Because the improvement of hard environment is not very difficult, but the construction of credit environment needs a longer process.Beijing's old brand "tongrentang , good faith management for 350 years, from a little-known household pharmary becomes the first brand of Chinese medicine. In the long run, the economy trauma can be calculated by money, while the lack of honesty and trustworthiness is difficult to measure with money. Honesty is one of the most treasured traditional values in China. The children are taught to be honest when they are very young. At schools the students are also instructed to be honest.
However, with the development of soclety, we often hear complaints about dishonesty. Reports with the theme of dishonesty often appear in the media. For example, some people try to get rich and llve a comfortable life. But they do not work hard honestly, instead they cheat others. They sell something quite ordinary at a very high price, clalnfing it is a priceless piece he inherited from his great father. Some people's delaying paying back the loan can serve as another example. Some people, including some college students get loan from the hank, and promise to pay within, say, 3 years. However, they don't do that.
The dishonest people sometimes can get benefit from their behaviors. So some people assert that dishonesty can bring people benefit,while honesty only makes people suffer. Is that so? Definitely not. It is always true that honesty is the best policy. It pays to be honest. The cheater selling "the treasure" mentioned above will surely be disclosed and punished some day. On the contrary, if he had been honest, neither the buyer nor he himself would have suffered. The people who do not return money in time will sooner or later become notorious, and will not get the money from others again. If he had acted differently, he would have earned respect and trust, meanwhile, the bank would not have suffered from loss.
In summary, honesty can not only benefit others but also oneself. We should be honest.

Just like being symbolically revealed in the set of drawing, the fact that the intact bowl, as a symbol of soly-invested companies , overwhelms the broken bowl representing the state-owned companies, with collision standing for fierce companies, profoundly indicates that it is time that our state-owned companies entailed reform eecially after china’s entry into WTO when facing soly-invested companies abroad.
To the popular mind , it is immediately assumed that when reform in state-owned companies is argued ,it is car industry that is meant. To account for the above-mentioned phenomenon , several points should be figured out. For one thing, some of car industries once enjoyed the glorious past , They have ,however, gradually lost their market shares when soly –invested companies were sweeping into domestic market. For another , in order to turn the corner ,the leaders of them should adopt the policy of reform such as acquisition, re-engineering and introduction of advanced technology and concepts of management. No better illustration of this idea can be thought than the example mentioned below, No Motor Vehicle Plant has witnessed from predicament to rejuvenation through none other than effective steps mentioned above. Therefore ,no issue is as critical to individual and national survival and proerity as reform in state-owned companies.
Accordingly , it is vital for us to derive some positive meanings from this thought-provoking picture. It is ,hence, necessary that efforts be made to follow the irit of reform concerning state-owned companies. On one hand, the government should make law to perfect irrational rules and regulations being visible in reform process. On the other hand, the leaders of state-owned companies should enhance the awareness of reform .Only by undergoing these steps ,can our more state-owned companies become members of Top 500 in the world, which, indeed, has gone to the heart of maintaining good momentum of national economy growth.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
My topic is Honesty. As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
In the late 1930s, when the Japanese occupied Qingdao, his family had to leave. On his last day in Qingdao, he ran to the Aquarium and pulled out one of the teeth from the dragon’s mouth.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his consience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.
Honesty is a vital quality of human behaviour. So we should try to keep an honest mind in everything we say and do. I would like to say to all of my friends: Let’s be honest people of good moral character.

sSnce the quality of honesty applies to all behaviors, one cannot refuse to consider factual information, for example, in an unbiased manner and still claim that one's knowledge, belief or position is an attempt to be truthful. such a belief is clearly a product of one's desires and simply has nothing to do with the human ability to know. basing one's positions on what one wants — rather than unbiased evidence gathering — is dishonest even when good intentions can be cited — after all even hitler could cite good intentions and intended glory for a select group of people. clearly then, an unbiased approach to the truth is a requirement of honesty.
Eecause intentions are closely related to fairness and certainly affect the degree of honesty/dishonesty, there is a wide spread confusion about honesty--and a general belief that being dishonest means that one always correctly understands if their behavior is either honest or dishonest. self-perception of our morality is non-static and volatile. it's often at the moment we refuse to consider other perspectives that there is a clear indication we are not pursuing the truth, rather than simply and exclusively at the moment we can muster up evidence that we are right. socrates had much to say about truth, honesty and morality, and explained that if people really understood that their behavior was wrong — then they simply wouldn't do it — by definition. unfortunately, honesty in the western tradition has been marginalized to specific instances — perhaps because a thorough understanding of honesty collides with ideologies of all types. ideologies and idealism often exaggerate and suppress evidence in order to support their perspectives — at the expense of the truth. this process erodes the practice and understanding of honesty. to an ideologist the truth quite often becomes insignificant, what matters most are their ideals and what ever supports their desires to enjoy and spread those ideals.
Human beings are inherently biased about what they believe to be good due to individual tastes & backgrounds, but once one understands that a decidedly biased approach to what is true — is inherently dishonest, one can also understand how idealism and ideology have poorly served the quest for an honest, moral society. both honesty and morality require that we base our opinions about what is good — upon unbiased ideas of what is true — rather than vice versa (determining what is true based on what we feel is good) — the way all ideologies would have us believe.
